ORNEA RED WINE is a collection of three fictional short stories that take place in three small towns in the Raleigh Research Triangle area of North Carolina.
THE WENDELL RITUAL
Maressa Devenport, a young nurse, decides to move in with an elderly woman as a full-time caretaker. Wanting independence from her parents, she now feels the freedom she was seeking. She reunites with  an ex-college boyfriend, unknowingly it may have all been by design.
